Fellow Program
This is a once-in-a-lifetime gap year program that is designed to develop Christ-like leaders who seek to serve, love and invest in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Here's what you'll find in the Prep Fellow program:
Authentic Relationships
From staff to students, Barnabas Prep is all about building encouraging, transparent, accountable and spontaneously FUN relationships!
Servant Leadership
We've found that our Fellows naturally prioritize leading by serving the greater good. We hone those skills daily by always putting others first.
Discipleship
Every day Fellows find opportunities to invest in the student's spiritual lives and the lives of other Fellows through Bible studies, prayer time, worship time and fellowship.
Life & Career Growth
The social, life and job skills Fellows help teach at Prep will take them well beyond their time here. Fellows are steps ahead of their peers and have a rich resume at the end of their term.
Life Changing Experiences
Each year, Fellows experience field trips, community events, parties, retreats, the Prep cruise and more, creating memories that are never forgotten.
Intentional Mentorship
Fellows are guided by trusted mentors who stand by Prep's core values and belief statements. Mentors encourage Fellows in their personal relationship with Jesus.
CONNOR
Being a Fellow at Barnabas Prep has been such a positive challenge for me this year. The Holy Spirit has taught me so many things about being a Godly leader and most importantly, a man of God. I am so thankful that God allowed me to come to Prep and work with the amazing students and Fellows and go from not knowing each other, to being a close-knit and Christ-centered force for change.

Getting to work at Barnabas Prep as a Fellow has been such a sweet and transformative season in my life! I dearly love the community of Prep and am grateful for the lifelong friendships I have made over the years. It has been such a joy getting to invest in the lives of the students and watch them grow in independence. I am so thankful the Lord called me to Prep, it is definitely a once in a lifetime experience and one I will never forget!

There is so much I could say about my time as a Fellow, but to sum it up, it has been the most heart-softening and fun opportunity of my life so far. The students have taught me so much and are such a joy to be around, the other staff are kind and supportive, but the best part of our job is getting to see the Lord come through day after day. I am very thankful for my time here and wouldn't trade it for anything.
